Progress Report for Week 9 (Jul 28 – Aug 3)
1. What did I get done this week?
- Created the workflow in ceda.ipynb to convert CEDA data to GeoCroissant format.
- Installed required packages (
mlcroissantandceda-datapoint) and set up the environment. - Implemented a search for CMIP6 climate data with specific filters using the CEDA DataPoint client.
- Collected cloud-optimized assets and explored datasets, metadata, and attributes.
- Generated GeoCroissant-compliant metadata and saved it as cmip6_geocroissant_metadata.json.
- Demonstrated how to load and visualize climate data using the generated metadata.
- Documented the entire process in the notebook with detailed explanations and examples.
2. Plan for Next Week :
- Configuring the
mlcroissantpackage with[geo]extras to support GeoCroissant functionality.
