GSoC 2026 | GRASS GIS | Contributor Update — PR #7238 Merged

Hi everyone,

I am Ahad Ali, a GSoC 2026 applicant for the GRASS GIS project — “Support writing tests with pytest.”

I wanted to share a quick update:

  • :white_check_mark: My PR #7238 (CI: prevent cache poisoning on pull_request events) has been successfully merged into OSGeo/grass main

  • :white_check_mark: This fix was independently adopted by Even Rouault in GDAL (OSGeo/gdal#14260), citing my PR as inspiration

I am continuing to contribute actively and already working on my next PR.
