Hello everyone,
I’m Mohit Rawat, a second-year B.Tech Computer Science student at Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCOE), Pune, India.
I’m excited to be selected as a GSoC 2026 contributor with the pgRouting project under OSGeo.
My project focuses on implementing the following Boost Graph Library planar augmentation algorithms in pgRouting:
- Make Biconnected Planar
- Make Maximal Planar
The goal is to complete pgRouting’s planar graph preprocessing pipeline and enable downstream planar drawing workflows currently unavailable through SQL.
During the community bonding period, I’ve:

Created my OSGeo wiki profile and contributor page

Started revisiting Boost planar graph internals and pgRouting’s planar module.
I’m looking forward to learning from the community, collaborating with mentors and contributors, and contributing meaningful improvements to pgRouting this summer.
