Hello @bipashabg , @Saloni-2005 and @wifi
I had some time now to review your work, and what I see:
Opened the weekly PR at the begining of the week: @bipashabg and @Saloni-2005
Missing: @wifi
The way you are communicating with us is by your commits.
Your commits mean that you are working, and pushing the commits is to communicate that you are actually working.
Its my Thursday afternoon and besides the commit to add your name there is no work done.
The intention of having the PR is that when you finish working on a day you push all the commits you did and then a mentor will make comments.
No commits from your side => no comments from our side
The X hrs per week does not mean work on the weekend.
Actually, that is why the weekly meeting is at the beginning of the week, so you know what you will be doing during the week.
pgRouting mentors try to spend some time every day to review what is happening, and if we see something major we can comment on it, so the issue can be fixed ASAP.
We don’t review on weekends and we don’t expect you to work on weekends, weekends are for family and friends.
When you distribute the work along the week, you get a better understanding of what you are doing, and for us mentors is easier to make 10 to 20 minutes per day to check the work of all 3 of you.
If you work only one day, that will mean that we need to find not 10 to 20 minutes
to check the work of all 3 of you, but to find 2 to three hours in one day, which is impossible for us. So you will not have feedback, no feedback implies bad work, bad work implies failing the program.
And if that day is on weekend, we will not see what you did or did not do. (remember, us mentors will not review on weekends, that is for family and friends)
Please push your work ASAP.
Thanks
Vicky
