the proposal should be shorter, ideally about 5-7 pages long, 45 is just too much and nobody will be probably able to review it. Further, the proposal should ideally be introduced to the community one month or earlier before the submission so that GRASS devs can react on it and help in steering it (they know what is exactly needed and also can estimate how long the process of implementation can take, considering PR reviewing time etc.) I think that the topic of Web GRASS (or at least this is how I understand it from the short look at the proposal and this sentence: they’ll be able to do everything – from loading maps to complex analysis – right in their browser) is too extensive for the GSoC and the topic itself (this implementation direction) would first require a big discussion among developers (probably on the PSC basis).

I want to sincerely apologize for posting the discussion on GitHub instead of here on the OSGeo Discourse. I was unaware of this platform and its role as the expected space for these conversations—thank you for pointing me in the right direction! I’m new to navigating this community’s workflows, so I really appreciate your patience and guidance.
I’ve already submitted my proposal for 'Enhancing GRASS GIS for Geospatial Analysis and Visualization ’ but I’d love to hear any feedback or suggestions you might have for improvements. Please let me know if there’s anything specific I should adjust or add to align better with the expectations here. I’m excited to contribute and start discussing things properly in this space, even if I’m jumping in a bit late. Looking forward to your thoughts!

You are welcome to contribute to GRASS and try next year. This year your GSoC application was rejected because you didn’t discuss it early enough and it’s low quality, there is nothing specific in there. I suggest spending more time reading the GSoC guidelines to better understand the expectations.
