We are really interested in how entropy changes with resolution. There is
some relation with this rate of change (Hurst coefficient) and the
fractal dimension, d=E+1-H. We are using this characteristic to gauge
the appropriate size grid cell for hydrologic modeling.

matrix for i.texture, so it may be useful. Beware that it is not
rotationally invariant. Usually, four directions are averaged. (See
the man page and the previously posted reference.) If I remember
correctly, the average values are also reported.
