Interest in GSoC'25: “Add JSON Output to Different Tools in C”

Hi GRASS Team,
My name is Nishant Bansal, and I am currently in my final year of pursuing a Bachelor of Technology at the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi, India. I am thrilled to express my interest in applying for Google Summer of Code 2025 with GRASS, particularly for the project idea, “Add JSON output to different tools in C” (GRASS GSoC Ideas 2025 - GRASS-Wiki).
I have been actively involved in the GRASS project, and here are some of my relevant pull requests:

For a complete overview of my contributions, you can check my profile here: My OSGeo/GRASS Contributions.
I am currently working on my proposal and will send it your way once it’s finalised. Any feedback or suggestions you could provide would be greatly appreciated and would help me improve my proposal.
Thank you for considering my application. I am looking forward to the chance to contribute to the GRASS community.

Hey Anna,

I made a few modifications to the proposal, including reading JSON data into pandas and removing the questions for the mentor. Could you check if there’s any additional feedback on the proposal, or should I submit it on the GSoC portal?

Thanks.

It’s good, please go ahead and submit! As I mentioned there, the specific tools you will work on will likely change, we will discuss this more later on.
