Somewhat experienced in geo technology, but brand new to QGIS.
I am the original developer (and chief cook and bottle-washer) behind Tickets CAD, a free, Open Source Computer-Aided Dispatch package. It uses Google maps or OpenStreetMap, along with Leaflet as the interface library.
Yes, it’s free; no adware, etc. And is available from SourceForge (see The Open ISES Project download | SourceForge.net) as well as Github. Been around for at least 15 years, and gets maybe 700 downloads a year.
Unsure just how I might use QGIS; possibly no more than editing shapefiles.
