Tell us about yourself

I’m Alejandra Duque Ropero, and I lead GIS specialist in Italy, a project focused on QGIS training, technical outreach, and the development of practical resources for the GIS community. In my work, I try to keep a clear, practical, and accessible approach, helping professionals, students, and organizations use QGIS in a meaningful way in their daily work.

Through Gis Specialist, I share educational content on our blog and social media channels, including video tutorials, tips, and practical materials designed to support learning and everyday use of QGIS. I have also contributed to the QGIS ecosystem through the development of the Copernicus Disaster Explorer plugin, published in the official QGIS plugin repository, and I support the project as a Small Sustaining Member.

I especially value spaces for collaboration and exchange within the QGIS community, as I believe they are essential for continued learning, sharing experience, and strengthening the use of free and open-source software in our field.
