I’m a final-year Geo-Informatics Engineering student at NUST, Islamabad, Pakistan, currently working as a GIS Developer. My day-to-day work involves building geospatial data pipelines using STAC, PySTAC, TiTiler, and Cloud Optimized GeoTIFFs, alongside PostGIS, OpenLayers, MapLibre, and Turf.js. I also have experience with satellite imagery processing using Google Earth Engine and GDAL, and have previously worked on conservation mapping at WWF Pakistan.
What do you want to learn / contribute
I’m interested in the istSOS project, specifically Idea 1: Metadata Connector for Data Spaces and STAC. I’ve been reviewing the istSOS4 and istSOS4-STAC repositories and the OGC SensorThings API documentation. Given my professional experience with STAC and geospatial data workflows, I believe I can contribute a well-designed connector that bridges SensorThings metadata into STAC Collections and DCAT catalogs.
