Happy new year to all. My name is Jashanpreet Singh but I go by json singh (also my website [https://jsonsingh.com](https://jsonsingh.com) and I would like to join the System Administration Committee (SAC) team to help in any way I can.
I have worked with servers, DNS, web services and many more things. I run a Mac and ubuntu machine as my daily driver.
Summary:
I am taking a career break to focus on volunteer work at OSGeo and setting up a foundation in my hometown (Punjab, Barnala, India) to bring open source geospatial to the Indian GIS community. I am working towards hosting a FOSS4G in India in 2028.
Please let me know if anything more is required from my side.
For those who are not familiar with Json, he’s started working on helping with marketing in particular BlueSky media.
He was at FOSS4G 2024, of which I think Jive made his acquaintance.
+1 from me.
We don’t give new SAC members too much power until you’ve built up trust. That said there is still a lot that can be done. Reviewing currently open tickets, and closing obviously dead ones out and also selecting tickets you’d be interested in tackling is a good start.

Udpate the DNS with a TXT record to get verification with Bluesky
If this falls out of the current trust level, I am happy to pick something smaller and lower level of scope. I see the tickets on trac which are even older than 9 years so not sure where to get started on this, is there a document which helps navigating the sac team space itself? Like how to check high priority tickets? (Maybe I can work/improve this doc itself). Not sure.
I'd invite Json to also look at wiki.osgeo.org as that's supposedly the starting point for documentation of every SAC procedure. Having a page about Bluesky for example would be a good thing, if not already there.
Also I'd like to see him on #sac:osgeo.org matrix room to coordinate when needed

Thank you for the opportunity. I look forward to be of help. To start with
I wanted to do 2 things:
- Get emails from social@osgeo.org to social@jsonsingh.com (for bluesky
verification)
- Udpate the DNS with a TXT record to get verification with Bluesky
