Yesterday I also started to create the A4 flyer for GRASS GIS project using the svg in github osgeo account.
Using inkscape (I’m not a power user of it) I get some troubles adding texts (the most important is the space between lines), also modifying it by text editor I’m not able to fix them.
Jody told me that this is not the template provided by the company.
Could we ask to the company to provide template in different formats, I think at least svg and open document format are really useful, also a scribus format (sla file) could be useful too.
Luca the expression of interest / contract indicates what they will provide. We will not be asking to change the contract, and instead rely on our community to figure it out, some of our members have.
I believe that heading section may be individual lines (rather than a paragraph?) Also try grabbing the original EPS file int Inkscape (rather than the SVG I made). I will try again on flight home.
One reason I am responding this way is I think the deadline and acceptance of printed materials may have passed already in the contract. We accepted these materials for foss4ge and invited review / participation prior to accepting.
If it has not passed I really want to get the great review feedback from yourself and Astrid and Venka in for revision before printing for Boston. Perhaps you could come to wednesday’s meeting?

Intended to say some of our members have adobe illustrator and indesign and can work natively with the files provided to convert to SVG. Would much rather have the originals as produced.

ok, but should we able to modify it in future right? (sorry for the
silly question)

I'm studing the "complex" structure of the OSGeo Marketing folder and
I will provide the feedback by tomorrow

Yes, the template has not been delivered yet. I cheated by taking the EPS and making my own template for experimentIng.
So with the template we can make our own; or you and me can experiment to have more information sheets ready for Boston.

In branding > collateral > brochure > content
I made “content” folders for us to write text and provide SVG and EPS icons. And “community” folders for when we make our own thing.
When we have something ready we move to GitHub for sharing.
Perhaps you could come to wednesday’s meeting?
what time is it?
14:00 UTC I think will add you to the meeting. It is every week.
