[Marketing] ask for permission to include OSGeo logo at local event [Jornadas SIG Libre]

Dear Marketing Comitte,

I’m Josep Sitjar, from SIGTE (University of Girona), and one of the members in charge to organize Jornadas de SIG Libre, one of the Spain’s leading event in the field of free and open source geospatial technologies.

We are working on the new edition of Jornadas, and as I did last year, the aim of this e-mail is just to ask for permission in order to include again the OSGeo logo as supporter of Jornadas SIG Libre.

Hi,

I think we can start considering SIGLibre as the “official” FOSS4G Spain. It has acted as it for years already and like FOSSGIS, the “translation” is FOSS4G also (SIGLIbre → GISLibre → Free GIS). If that’s fine for you, Josep. If some other group wants to organize a FOSS4G Spain, we can start discussing about naming and branding. Although I think the community feels like this too.

What do the rest think?
