[Marketing] Brochure with outdated phone number on it

Hi All,

A mundane question- it appears I do have rights to upload stuff to the svn so I thought I’d get the brochure changed, which has Tyler’s number on it still. However, I’m really not sure which I should be changing as there don’t seem to be ai or inkscape files for the 2010 version, which is the one I assume I should work with!

Can someone enlighten me- happy to get stuff sorted once I know my way around…

Hi,

I was just wondering if the brochure has been eventually updated and it is ready to be printed out.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Not that I’m aware of. I wasn’t sure where to find the correct files in the svn repository.

Uhm… Pity… it is really nice looking, but if it isn’t updated there’s no point to print it out and distribute within events… anyone has a clue about it?
Thanks!

It seems likes there are various forms of the flier, in a few different formats (including SVG which you should be able to edit) in the subversion directory mentioned by Alex:

Best regards

Dr. Franz-Josef Behr

PS: Sorry for potential cross-posting.

Dear Dr. Beher,

apologize me for this question, but it is not clear to me if at this stage you are asking to submit an abstract for evaluation or a full paper for evaluation.

In last years, generally I submitted an abstract, then if selected for presentation in academic track I where asked for a full paper,
and then if selected I had to go trough a review process by the editors.

Is it this the case, or rules have changed?

Regards,
Massimiliano

Dear Dr. Beher,
apologize me for this question, but it is not clear to me if at this stage
you are asking to submit an abstract for evaluation or a full paper for
evaluation.

In last years, generally I submitted an abstract, then if selected for
presentation in academic track I where asked for a full paper,
and then if selected I had to go trough a review process by the editors.

From the web page:

“”"
We invite academics and researchers to submit full papers in English,
of maximum 6,000 words, before the deadline of 1 February 2013.
Templates for submissions in a variety of formats can be found here,
and detailed requirements, regarding layout, formatting and the
submission process, can be found on the FOSS4G 2103 Academic Track
submission pages at http://2013.foss4g.org/ojs/
“”"

This is clear…

but then my question is:

  • Why do I have to submit a paper without knowing if I’m going to be select for presentation?
  • And why 7 months before of the conference?

It looks to me quite strange…

Thanks for the discussion, and I can imagine that there might be a risk involved if somebody decides to make a submission.

But that’s the way reviewed contributions are going to be published.

7 months before the conference is not early, if we are lucke, we can handle the review, selection, publishing process in time.
