Hello all,
It has been a lot of away time for me since FOSS4G 2022 but happy to be back.
It will be nice to meet this Friday as December and likely January might not work for meetings.
One point from our in-person meeting this year is changing meeting day/time to help fit better.
I hope this works and also many to-dos that need to be worked on.
Looking forward to seeing you this Friday https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Marketing_Meeting_2022-11-25 time is 16:00 UTC but flexible for us to adjust
Best,
-Enock
Hi Enock
Unfortunately it’s unlikely I can make this meeting, because I’m travelling. Let’s see.
I do have an agenda item: a regular OSGeo newsletter. Our communications web page says we do a monthly one
Do the marketing / outreach committee want to control a regular - ish newsletter? I had some ideas about how to make it low energy - invite people to add to a wiki or gitea page, post out via discuss at lists.osgeo.org…
My main thing is however we do it, avoid Mailchimp. Use what we have
Happy to discuss this further!
Cheers,
Adam

Thank you Adam. Added to the agenda.
Newsletter worth trying, something I really haven’t thought about.
And the low energy part too, you might want to share more

Thanks.
The low energy part is trying to find a way that one person isn’t always trying to come up with something. If there’s a wiki page or a document on gitea, anyone can add to it.
Then the person /team “responsible” take whatever is in that document and out it out on discuss.
Sometimes it might only be “we had s board meeting, here is a link to the minutes, next board meeting is …”
In essence, if the osgeo community wants a great newsletter, the osgeo community is responsible for making one. That’s the hope anyway
Is that a bit clearer?
