Sorry, I have been away for a while; I hope we all started the New Year on a better note and in a better mood.
Thanks, @Jody, for the reminder. It would be great to meet tomorrow [1], as usual, on the last Friday of every month, to finalise our to-dos.

It looks like we are trying to choose a new time for the marketing meeting?

Ideally we could do this before the board meeting on Monday, but we could also sort out budget request via email here. The budget request is guidance only to allow the board to plan; so if we are not in position to offer such guidance that is fine also.

Presently our meeting is at https://meet.ffmuc.net/OSGeo_Marketing

I think we could change to http://meet.osgeo.org/OSGeo_Marketing

Let’s talk about whether we want to move from the last Friday of the month to the beginning of the month or a different day tomorrow.

Okay, I would like to do something to provide any guidance to the board for 2024 budget allocation.

With that in mind I am going to share what we have now: https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Marketing_Committee_Budget_2024

My goals are:

Recruit volunteers to hand the “socials” as while I can see it being valuable and effective it is not personally my cup of tea
Get some graphic design help to get some of the website design areas unstuck: GetInteractive is preferred as they did the original thinking (so it would be less overhead for me to communicate or another team member to review prior communications). The TLDR: Website is for external communication to the GIS professionals as a public service. Wiki is for internal communication.
Get some graphic design help in general: for PDF handouts, projects wanting a logo
Stretch goal t-shirts to hand out to contributors at foss4g events (setting up a market place for people to order their own shirt is not the same “thank you” gesture)
