[Marketing] New meeting time suggested!

Hello,
to better accommodate Australia, Asia and Europe it was suggested to rotate meeting times. Please check whether this works for you:
http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Marketing_Committee#Regular_Meeting

Don't hesitate to protest! I would be very much in favor of a meeting schedule that lies in the daytime of the Toronto, Canada region due to having some active people there. But on the other hand we also try to get better contact to Asia with Daniele.

Timezones suck.

Maybe you just add to the agenda and we find out which time zone is best then. Please also prioritize by simply adding your own item of interest further to the top.

I have not been a good chair - if you look into the meeting protocols they are hardly maintained at all. But we are a small and low traffic committee anyway so I don't feel too bad about it. Still - if somebody feels like wanting to have more responsibility, please come forward.

Best regards, Arnulf.

Hi Arnulf,
It doesn't work for me, although I could pop in about 20-30 mins later
Ciao,

I've no preference on timezones, aside from suggesting it rotate around
the globe now and again; I'll try to attend whenever it is held.

I'm glad to hear you've come around

I fixed the day in the timeanddate.com url. I suggest it rotate every two meetings - so that no one has to stay up too late (or get up too early) for more than a couple weeks in a row.

The suggested time should be okay for me for this week.

Tyler

11pm Thursday for me, I'm all over it...

Hehe, finally I managed to confuse all.

For mpg its Thursday, for the rest of us its Friday and on the Wiki it says Wednesday. So what should we do?

I suggest keeping the timeanddate URL and changing the day to say Friday. Is that reasonable? It gives us two more days to think about what we do to the logos and the communication plan. First agenda item will be to appoint at time zone manager.

So now it is:
Seattle * Thu 11:00 PM
Vancouver * Thu 11:00 PM
Berlin * Fri 8:00 AM
Tokyo Fri 3:00 PM
Sydney Fri 4:00 PM

The Ouch-ones:
Toronto * Fri 2:00 AM
New York * Fri 2:00 AM

Regards, Arnulf.

Ahrg - this is the final call. Jeroen cannot make it on Friday, so we move to Thursday / Wednesday respectively and half an hour later.

Seattle * Wed 11:30 PM
Vancouver * Wed 11:30 PM
Berlin * Thu 8:30 AM
Tokyo Thu 3:30 PM
Sydney Thu 4:30 PM
The Ouch-ones:
Toronto * Thu 2:30 AM
New York * Thu 2:30 AM

I changed the Wiki accordingly:
http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Marketing_Committee#Regular_Meeting

"Regular" meeting, hehe...

Please observe that FOSS4G 2008 goes on air now and we should dedicate some energy to help spread word and make that event look worthy traveling half around the world!

Regards,

I've updated the agenda slightly, grouping similar topics.
