[Marketing] OSgeo annual award

Dear Marketing Colleagues:

At the annual meeting the OSgeo California Chapter, it was decided to give an Annual Award to recognize exemplary projects! This award is to recognize those projects that serve as a desirable model and represent the best of its kind. Anyone interested in joining the selection committee please chime in :wink: This is an excellent opportunity to gather information on all the efforts underway in the area of geo-spatial software.

If you want to nominate a project, please send to the email below by December 1, 2012. please include the following information:

  1. Project Name:

  2. Project contact information:

  3. URL:

  4. Problem: What problem does the software project resolve , and what makes the project significant in the area of focus?

  5. Capacity: Describe the organizational capacity (people) and the resources used (hardware, software, grants).

  6. Implementation: Describe the implementation and results of the software/project in the real world.

  7. Open source: How does the project leverage Open Source theory, practice and tools?

  8. Comment: share any additional information.
