[Marketing] [OSGeo-Discuss] AGM - reference to new webside and uploads of files

Hello all,

I have a question about where we save files and whether we can provide links to the new webside that will remain after we moved the new webside to the offical place (https://osgeo.org)

@jody - in your mail refering to AGM you linked to the following urls and I tweeted the info:
http://osgeo.getinteractive.nl/resources/osgeo-agm-2017/
http://osgeo.getinteractive.nl/wp-content/uploads/osgeo-agm.pdf

Two Questions?
1. What will happen to the links that we send on the mailing list? Will there be a redirect from getinteractive.nl?

2. Shall we upload files in the new webside or shall we place files on https://github.com/OSGeo/ or https://git.osgeo.org/gogs/ or somerwhere else??

Greetings from sunny Germany

One clarification coming out of this years meeting (to set
expectations for those slides) is that this is actually an update on
each community.

For the projects we had a the question of "I did a state of talk
already". The state of talks are focused on features and functionality
that are of interest to those using the software. AGM reports are
focused on the community (leadership, committers, releases, users,
events) and relationship with OSGeo (officers, budget, challenges,
opportunities).

Personally I really liked the local chapter updates, there is so much
OSGeo going on around the world.

The slides for the AGM meeting are online:

The number of slides almost doubled Friday morning before our 12:30
meeting. Thank you to everyone who took part - a truely
inspirational look at our community!

If your committee or project was unable to attend you are invited to
our next IRC meeting, we look forward to hearing from you.

The links will be broken once:

a) we sort out how the URLs work
b) we change to osgeo.org domain

So my email was transitory in nature! I did upload the presentations to slide share also …

For small files I think we can attach to the website.

I think we should make https://github.com/OSGeo/osgeo have a mirror on https://git.osgeo.org/ (just so we hold on to the content twice). This is good for things like our printed material and style guide that change over time.
