I agree there must be promotional materials.
I will reference briefly to the codesprint that will be taking place at the Geo4Africa Summit 2017.
We shall need marketing materials like T-shirts, stickers, Pull up banners that will be places at the venue.
OSGeo is sponsoring the codesprint and this is strong way to show presence of OSGeo at these events.
I also think that OSGeo should have booth and booth material as these have great impact.
