For anyone not reading the meeting notes - this is still a draft. Still being worked on is a cartography page and examples of brands, sub brands and distinct brands.
There was a lot of work done between v1 and v4 of this style guide, there is now a range of secondary colors to work with and better instructions on handling pictures and background elements.
Note. Nicolas Bozon and I will be talking monday about how to turn
this into a web document and will report our plan back here next week.

No it is not mandatory. We sponsor 10 t-shirts for the codesprint on Saturday. For your own t'shirts there will be a different template available. I'll adjust the image in the styleguide.

For future reference, are individual projects allowed to use “OSGeo” logos on their own project specific items like T-shirts and mugs, etc? Is this written down somewhere?
I thought about doing up some GeoMoose shirts with “OSGeo” on the sleeve.
With respect to the style guide, it provides some guidance on use of the brand visually.
With respect to use of the logo it would be up to the OSGeo officers to call anyone out on using it for something we do not support. (As an example the eclipse foundation logo was used for a street food vendor once).
For a GeoMoose shirt you have a) have permission to use the “OSGeo project” logo (due to your project graduating from incubation) b) you yourself are an osgeo officer (for the geomoose project).
