I would like to share with you an idea of Paolo Dabove (GFOSS
president and chair of WG3 of ISPRS) and others regarding a webinar
series, we ask OSGeo to share and support the initiative. No financial
contribution is required from OSGeo, indeed we may ask participants to
make a donation to OSGeo.

sounds like a great idea to me.
3. Friday does not conflict with the QGIS Open Days.
A reagular event is great.
I can fully support the idea and could provide support from OSgeo.
Maybe we can make an intro at every event to introduce OSgeo and maybe refer to sponsoring and OSgeo events

I think it would be great to create a news item and event item on the osgeo website for the webinar series
Could you please create the page.
I found your user page and added the editor rights to you Paolo Dabove, auteur op OSGeo
When the text is ready we can spread them on the mailing lists
- you can write to the osgeo discuss list
- the news_item_team will write the mail to the announce list and promote on social media
