[Marketing] Where 2.0 Planning

Paul,

Do you have the details of day/time and place for the exhibit. I'd like
to get those details up so I can round up the volunteers. I presume you
an Arnulf, etc will already be coming to Where 2 anyways so that leaves
the booth passes primarily for local volunteers who weren't otherwise
going but want to help at the booth?

Posting the details here is fine, I'll make sure they get to
http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Where_2.0_2009
if you don't.

Thanks,
Alex

Alex!

Thanks for poking me, and for helping round up volunteers. The wiki
site hopefully now includes enough information to continue with:

Arnulf will be needing the session pass, but that leaves four exhibit
passes for booth volunteers.

On the subject of materials, I am planning on ensuring that Tyler gets
us some shirts ordered.

Also, are the any elements of the California pack we need re-fills on,
in your opinion, or items simply missing that we must have?

Paul

Thanks,
Alex

The California Pack is well stocked currently. I will be adding some
copies of OSGeo Journal to it as soon as Volume 5 is out.

If we can manage to get some funding for Live DVDs that's the only thing
we don't have that might be a good thing for the Where 2 target audience.

Our materials are inventoried at
http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/California/Exhibition_Pack

Thanks,
Alex

Do you have any FOSS4G postcards or fliers?
https://svn.osgeo.org/osgeo/foss4g/2009/documents/propaganda/

I can have some posted to you if you like. How many would you need?

Yes I have 75 still from the 100 you sent me previously.
Do you think we'll need more?

We are also planning to go to OSCON in July.

I was looking on the Marketing site last night, and the link to the live DVD is not connected to anything. Is it available somewhere else?
Thanks,

Sorry, some of my links weren't done right. The page you want to see is
http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Live_GIS_Disc

There's also now a Live Demo category which lists most of the pages
about Live stuff.

Alex,
I suspect that 75 should be enough. I think Paul has some postcards too.

Also, if you are printing a liveDVD, can you please include FOSS4G details onto any artwork you produce.

What about tables/chairs. I think I recall it would cost if we wanted
power but I don't recall furniture discussed in that.
Should we ask for funds to cover power?

Thanks,
Alex

PS: We've started soliciting for chapter sponsors but no responses yet.
