Meeting VIII tomorrow

discussion of the "what is our charter and how do we organize ourselves"
thread. (Jason: To that end, if you can attend as a Special Guest that
would be great.)

Hi,
Unfortunately I won't be able to make the call. The main OSCON
related topics we need to consider are:
1-Recruiting more volunteers to come and support the booth
2-Confirming speakers
I have both points underway, but could still use some help finding
more people who could come, with the help of a free pass. I think
we've got more speakers than slots available, so it will be a matter
of focusing our message.

We lacked a quorum today, so we adjourned the meeting.

There is much business to discuss, so I'd rather not wait another two

I think the voice channel is important to maintain. If some can _only_ attend via IRC, then we just need to make sure our voice communication is transcribed as much as possible so they are not alienated. Make sense?

Unfortunately, I think I'm going to have to withdraw from Viscom activities as I'm feeling stretched on a number of fronts (including a wedding in a few weeks!) and want to focus the time I can justify to OSGeo towards fundraising -- a critical element for OSGeo's future success.

Keep up the good work everyone -- hopefully I'll be able to work my way back in here shortly.
