Hi everyone! I’m Aditya, a first-year Computer Science student interested in open-source development and learning through real-world projects. I’m currently working with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Java, Python, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
What do you want to learn / contribute
I’m looking to get started with contributing to OSGeo projects, learn how the projects work, and make small contributions as I become familiar with the codebase. I’m particularly interested in web and backend development, and I’d appreciate any suggestions on which OSGeo projects would be a good starting point for a beginner with my background.
I need an OSGeo account for the following (ctrl+click all that apply)
Report a bug about osgeo, postgis, or osgeo4w, note other projects do not need an account
Most projects of OSGeo are on github so don’t need an OSGeo account to contribute.
If you per chance want to contribute to PostGIS then you would need an account. I’ll message the mantra privately to you.
As far as PostGIS goes, I’m on the team in PostGIS and we just updated our developer docs significantly. Reviewing them and making sure they make sense to a new contributor would be most valuable.
