New Qtiler, just try it!

Hello everyone!

I’d like to invite the QGIS community to try a new open-source tool we’ve been developing at MundoGIS:
Tile Cache, a Windows-friendly platform for generating, inspecting, and publishing WMTS/XYZ tile caches directly from QGIS projects.

The goal is to make tile-cache management simple, reliable, and fully integrated into existing QGIS workflows—especially for organizations running Windows Server environments.

:wrench: What the platform does

  • Upload .qgs/.qgz projects and automatically extract layer metadata.

  • Generate caches per layer, per map theme, or on-demand—each with progress tracking and historical job logs.

  • Store project zoom presets, map extents, and scheduled re-cache windows.

  • Serve cached tiles and publish a WMTS GetCapabilities document ready for GIS clients.

  • Built-in Leaflet viewer with CRS detection, layer toggles, and WMTS URL helpers.

  • Optional QtilerAuth plugin to manage users, roles, and customer-specific WMTS access.

  • Deployment-ready for Windows Server behind IIS, Apache HTTPD, or other reverse proxies using URL Rewrite (exposing /portal, /wmts, and /admin on your own domain).

  • Includes Windows-service helpers and production-hardening guidance.

:raising_hands: How you can help

We’re looking for QGIS users, administrators, and integrators who want to:

  • test the platform with real-world projects,

  • provide feedback on workflows or performance,

  • suggest features to better support QGIS Server environments,

  • or validate hosting behind IIS/Apache in enterprise settings.

If you have questions or need help setting up a deployment, feel free to contact us.
Your feedback will directly help shape the next releases.

Thank you for your time — and we hope the tool proves useful in your QGIS workflows!

Best regards,
MundoGIS Team
