But GIS-L is already available as a newsgroup! Note recent comments
about counting users, etc.
Currently, gis-l is available as the newsgroup bit.listserv.gis-l, which (if
I understand this correctly) is not available to all Usenet sites. The new
incarnation of gis-l would be available on a much broader basis, maybe to
all Usenet subscribers.
