OSGeo 2026 Charter Member review period has started

Dear Charter Members,

Just a quick recap on the 2026 Elections:

  • Currently we have 24 valid nominations [0] .

  • The electronic voting system is ready for charter members to second
    the nominations. Nominal vote invitations were sent to all our
    charter members today.

Charter member candidate review period ends: Nov. 1, 2026

Please also check your ‘Spam’ folder if you haven’t received the invitation yet.
Sending hundreds of messages at once is not easy and it can be interpreted
as spam by some of the filtering systems.
Also, sometimes the e-mail addresses change but the charter member contact
database is not up to date. We will try to contact all the members with bounced
invitations via alternative email/fediverse/linkedin/etc to update the email
account and to make sure that everyone is able to vote.

Dear all,

a couple notes on the current review period.

During the first 12 hours of the review period the hyperlinks from the survey to the nomination page were pointing to the 2025 page. Thank you all to those that alerted me to that problem, I was able to promptly correct it.

Some members have informed me on the absence of an e-mail invite. Today I detected missing access codes for a few members, which possibly explains those missing e-mails. After correcting the issue I re-sent the voting reminder to all members that haven’t yet cast their vote. Apologies to those members receiving the reminder twice.

All charter members should have recieved an invitation to cast their vote. If that is not the case please send a message to cro[at]osgeo[dot]org.
