Hey Folks
I'm one of the co-chairs for FOSS4G 2025, and I'm hoping to use the foss4g
domain for this year, if possible.
One easy way to do this is to allow us to use `foss4g.org` as an alias
domain for our existing Google Workspace account (attached to `foss4g-
oceania.org`), which will be free for us, and allow us to manage auth and
forwarding and everything.
An alternative is we get a few emails like chair@foss4g.org and
sponsorship@foss4g.org and forward them to chair@foss4g-oceania.org etc.
This is fine, but we wouldn't be able to send as those emails then.
Thoughts?
Cheers,
Alex

* component: SysAdmin => SysAdmin/DNS
* milestone: Unplanned => Sysadmin Contract 2025-I (robe)
Comment:
I just checked looks like it's being used by europe, too, so I've just
aliased.
As an FYI, prior year was called sponsors@foss4g.org, probably better to
stick with that convention, just in case someone from the past writes back
wanting to sponsor again. But I've registered both.
So chair@foss4g.org, sponsor@foss4g.org, sponsorship@foss4g.org,
info@foss4g.org, register@foss4g.org is mapped to chair@foss4g-oceania.org
Those extra ones were the ones used last year and I think prior years as
well.
Let me know if any of these need changing and feel free to reopen the
ticket.

Comment (by alexgleith):
Is it just Europe using the forwarding?
I could re-implement the forward on our side, if it's just one of them?

I think so, but I'd rather leave as it is if you don't mind. We've always
done it as aliases.
