Umm, I'm not sure what this is.. Is this a translation of "my" OSGeo press release (the one on the wiki, to go out Tue or Wed), or is this from CCGIS directly and OSGeo is just being CC'd as a courtesy, or...?

Having heard nothing but ringing endorsements from everyone, I intend to
