[pgrouting-users] osm2pgRouting and pgRouting

Hello Amine:

Please if you can write to the mailing lists pgrouting-users at lists.osgeo.org when you have a question (you might need to register), maybe some one can help you better.

I saved the queries that had geometries in the result into tables and used QGIS to make the images.

This has part of the work:

Hello sir, my name is Amine, I am a student at the Free University of Brussels
in 3rd year and I have a simulation project to do.

What the teacher asks me is to do a car simulation (realistic and with a graphical interface)
in the city of Brussels, we have also data of trucks and flow in km/h
of certains streets and avenues.

My questions are:
(1) Is it relevant to use osm2pgRouting and pgRouting?

Because I managed to import all the map of brussels coming from OSM but during the continuation of the tutorial I see that all the routing algorithms were SQL queries, which is logical because we have only a database.

(2) Is it possible to link pgRouting to an open source GUI?
They are screenshots on the Boston tutorial showing the results of the queries.

(3) It is just an illustration of the results or it is indeed an open source GUI that we can use with pgRouting ?

Thank you very much for your time, and good evening.

Djuric Amine.
