[pgrouting-users] Re:Install Pg Routing in Windows environment?

Hi James,

I am sorry to a late reply your mail because I become busy with my writing PhD Journal Paper.

About this page: http://www.pgrouting.org/docs/howto/build_on_windows.html you don’t need to follow.

You can follow this steps;
Unzip a ZIP file which you have downloaded ( "pgRouting-1.03_pg-8.4.2 "). after you are unzip you will get 3 folders (Doc, Lib, and Share) and if you go to
“C:\Program Files (x86)\PostgreSQL\9.0” then you should see the same name folder as the folder when you unzip from pgRouting-1.03_pg-8.4.2.zip.

“C:\Program Files (x86)\PostgreSQL\9.0\Doc”
“C:\Program Files (x86)\PostgreSQL\9.0\lib”
“C:\Program Files (x86)\PostgreSQL\9.0\Share”

Then, copy all the data in the folder when you unzip from pgRouting-1.03_pg-8.4.2.zip. and paste into the same folder name in “C:\Program Files (x86)\PostgreSQL\9.0.…”

For example;
in “C:\Users\sittichai\Downloads\pgRouting-1.03_pg-8.4.2\Lib” folder, copy all 3 files (librouting.dll, libroutind_dd.dll, librouting_tsp.dll) and paste into “C:\Program Files (x86)\PostgreSQL\9.0\lib”

Please feel free to contract this mailing list if you have any questions.

Dear Sittichai,

Thank you for your reply, very useful and helpful.

Would you mind just confirming though that you have installed PostgreSQL
9.0 in Windows, and then used the PGRouting 8.4.2 Windows Binary to install
PGRouting? And that it works fine?

Thank you

James

    an
    aside I will be wanting to use PostGIS too, but I hope/prsume that this
    is
    largely unrelated to my question.

  2. I have a road network that I use in ArcGIS at the moment, stored in
