Hello all, right now I am working in a routing tool, unfortunately in my server it takes 1.2 seconds in average every routing. There are any tip/advice or a server configuration to improve the routing time.

By the way, I have a 180000 segments network.

Try using clusters over your geometry column

How long is the average route, and how many segments is it in an average route?

We are serving routes with Navteq data and a route that is 100 km, is calculated faster than 1 second.

Hi Francisco,

You have relatively low number of records in your database.
Have you checked for indices on gid, source, target and the_geom?
And then it’s slow to have high ID’s. Try to renumber source and target ID’s to have them start from 1.
