[pgrouting-users] undefined symbol: __gmpq_equal

Hi List

I am running Postgres 8.4.10 on 2.6.38-13-generic #54-Ubuntu, I was
having some issues with the pgr source code, so I down loaded it and
attempted to build it.

Everything seemed to go ok until I tried to use the driving distance code
when I got the diagnostic

psql:routing_dd.sql:28: ERROR: could not load library
"/usr/lib/postgresql/9.1/lib/librouting_dd.so":
/usr/lib/postgresql/9.1/lib/librouting_dd.so: undefined symbol:
__gmpq_equal

I have tried the bug fix DD_routing and PostgreSQL 9.1, which seems to
fixes other peoples problems with the same bug, but it does not work on my
machine.

Any suggestion as to what to do next?

From what I have seen it looks like a version issue/relocation error. I

looked at most of the liabires with nm -C and can not find the ' missing
library'

With Ubuntu 11.04 there was such an error as well, but that time this small fix was sufficient:

That is the one.

Sorry it did not, but I also noted that I was running postgres 8.4 and fix is for 9.1. I will upgrade the database first then try it again.

With Ubuntu 11.04 there was such an error as well, but that time this small fix was sufficient:

Will try this patch as well.

Will try this patch as well.

I think the version of PostgreSQL that time was 8.4.
But I can’t tell this gmpq issue depends on the database version.
