For those who want to apply to GSoC 2027 for pgRouting:

- OSGeo has not applied yet to GSoC
- pgRouting is under OSGeo, so we are not on GSoC yet
- pgRouting past GSoC projects and past GSoC requirements can be found here, but it does not mean that the requirements will stay the same or it does not mean that they will change.
Contacting us before the GSoC 2027 program is announced officially by Google can be interpreted that you are unable to follow guidelines.
What you can do, is try to do past tasks, compile, run tests locally, etc. But do not ask us if you have questions before the official GSoC 2027 program is announced.
Normally one of the tasks is to have an initial communication with pgRouting developers, that task should be done once the GSoC 2027 program is announced officially by Google, that is, if you already initiated a communication thread or initiate a communication thread, it will be disregarded.
Private communication is definitively a no for the program.
