While moving containers from osgeo4 (EOL in a couple of days) to osgeo8 I noticed there are two staging containers:
pretalx-staging – is running and does not have nginx configuration
pretalx-staging-2 – has nginx configuration
As we only less than 1T on osgeo8 and its going to be used also for our backups:
I will not restart pretalx-staging
Please confirm that the one you are using for your tests is: pretalx-staging-2
If that is the case, I will remove pretalx-staging and rename pretalx-staging-2 to eliminate the number suffix.
I think pretalx-staging-2 was the one that I had created from production to fix the issue with public voting. I think all of Luca’s efforts to upgrade to PostgreSQL are in the original pretalx-staging.
But lets hold off on deleting either. At a glance it looks like we can expand osgeo8 an extra 1TB. I’ll do that later today.

Looks like pretalx-staging was stopped. I just started it back up. Please give it a try.
The talks.staging.osgeo.org is however pointing at pretalx-staging-2 which is a version after I reapplied the public-voting piece to work in production. Not sure which is easier for you to work with.

I was able to enter, and everything is working fine (also postgresql
db, we need to populate it )
