I am trying to use the preview vector tile feature with “EPSG:4326 / geojson” in Tile Caching → Tile Layers with version 3.0.0 however it doesn’t display anything. I tried multiple versions back and noticed that it works on 2.26. Idk where should i open it as issue.

you can certainly open an issue in Jira.
Honestly… I was considering splitting the vector tiles modules in two and dropping JSON and topoJSON tiles down in the community modules section.
For those using JSON tiles today, would you like to share your experience? Why them instead of MVTs?
