I've a problem in starting graphic monitors with grass5beta5 on a RedHat
6.1 Linux distribution.
Running d.mon from the command line the monitor, say x0, gets opened
but no graphic object can be drawn upon it by d.rast or d.vect.
Moreover, trying to start grass in graphical mode with tcltkgrass
results in the following error messages:
CAN NOT ALLOCATE ANY READ-WRITE COLOR CELLS
WARNING: ERROR IN TCL SCRIPT
CANNOT ALLOCATE COLORMAP ENTRY FOR "CYAN3"
CANNOT ALLOCATE COLORMAP ENTRY FOR "GRAY90"
CANNOT ALLOCATE COLORMAP ENTRY FOR "GRAY30"
