Subject: PROJ, PROJ patches, & GRASS

Hi,
  I downloaded the proj .tar file from moon.incomming. It mentions two PROJ
patches. Does anyone know what these patches fix?
  Also, our version of GRASS is using the 7/1992 version of PROJ. Is it worth
while to update this to the new version of PROJ? If we do so, will all the
existing GRASS code continue to work or do we need to update other things as
well? Finally, has anyone successfully done this?

I would like to know also. The only pure PROJ.4 is on charon.er.usgs.gov.
