We’re looking for experienced GIS professionals to support an AI training initiative focused on open source geospatial software across architecture, engineering, transportation, and GIS domains.
This is flexible, hourly contract work—you’ll apply your hands-on GIS experience to evaluate AI-generated content and improve spatial data workflows. Work independently, asynchronously, with no minimum hour commitment.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of practical experience with QGIS 3.40.6 or related open source GIS tools
- Familiarity with the FOSS4G ecosystem strongly preferred
- Experience with Python 3.14.3 and geospatial libraries (pyproj 3.7.1, GDAL 3.10.3, PROJ 9.6.0, GEOS 3.13.1) is a plus
- U.S. work authorization required (including F-1 OPT/CPT candidates)
- Compensation: Competitive, based on experience. All work is paid; we provide close onboarding and mentorship.
