RE: [VisCom] More about shirts...

mpg,

Please change previous order from 6 to 3 shirts for Autodeskers, as some have responded individually.

Didn’t you do a page on shirts? I can’t seem to find on the wiki.

Sounds like Land’s End is doing fancy threadwork - wow. I was imagining a simpler silkscreen process (or whatever the modern day equivalent is)

Cheers,

Peter

I’ve now gotten a few requests for OSGeo shirts by people not attending Where and willing to pay their own costs. I told the first person “sure, no prob!” – but then I got nervous.

One the one hand, it would be nice to allow them to do this, and I’m willing to add their orders in and handle the organizing. And we would even get a 5% discount if the order exceeds $1000.

But on the other hand, selling shirts is a potential fund-raising activity, and so we might lose future revenue by doing this. A small amount, to be sure, but I don’t think it is within my authority to decide this.

What does the Board think?

Peter, you thinking of this page?
http://wiki.osgeo.org/index.php/Shirts

The gradient fills were what caused me some grief too. Would be nice to replace them with some sort of line fill for certain functions... but all in good time.

Michael, do you think they will be able to work with the gradients or not? How critical is it that we get it changed?
