Removing lizmap-de from the mailing lists

Hello,
SAC is about to remove lizmap-de from the mailing lists.

  • Invites to the currents subscribers will be sent for them to join this category
  • Once the invites are sent the list will be removed

We will not remove the archives.

The lizmap-de has been successfully removed.

The invites status:

Your bulk user invite file was processed, 27 invites mailed, 8 skipped and 0 warning(s).

The skipped ones are because they are already in OSGeo discourse.

Hallo,

ein kurzfristiges Löschen der alten E-Mail-Liste war eigentlich nicht gewollt aber da wirkt dann wohl ein gewisser Automatismus.

Ich hoffe, dass alle ehemaligen E-Mail-Empfänger den Weg zu Discourse finden.

Als ehemaliger Admin der E-Mail-liste habe ich leider auch keinen Zugang mehr zur Administration und kann somit zu den ehemaligen Mitgliedern der Liste keinen Kontakt aufnehmen.

Auf einen weiterhin regen Austausch hier unter Discourse
und viele Grüße

Huh, das war weder geplant noch beantragt, noch gab es eine Meldung oder Vorwarnung. :frowning:

Sorry for the inconvenience,

SAC is in the process of cleaning the mail server which includes the unused lists, the ones that are now operating under discourse, etc.
There are many reasons behind this decision one includes change of physical mail server and migration to mailman3, which is complex, and the least number of lists we have the least problems we will have.

I remind you that the archives were not removed.
The invites to the subscribers were sent, if needed they can be resent again.
Besides the invites, when removing the list, automatically the users receive a message also about registering to discourse in this particular category.
Also at the top of the mailing list lists when people look for the list, information about where to go is posted.

thank you for the clarification and explanation - that is totally understandable, just a little warning beforehand would have been nice, so we as admins could have sent out word that now is really the time to move on to Discourse! :slight_smile:
I think @wagner-it still has a list of the recipients of the mailing list, so he will write a farwell message to the members without having to use the actual mailing list.
