With more research this morning, I found the:
ClientRunBeforeJob
option to jobs. This calls a script on the client before running
the backup job. As a result, I have been able to remove the crontab from
newtrac.osgeo.org, and run the script directly from Bacula. (Side benefit:
Bacula tracks state of the script, so if it fails to run or produce data for some
reason, that information should be available via bacula reporting.
