[SAC] Codehaus Migration Quote (Vote)

SAC members,

About http://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo/ticket/1478

I'd like to get final opinions (or +1) on the proposal by Harrison
(Astrodog) to create a dump of Geoserver and GeoTools from Codehaus
before it shuts down.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/6esvba9gsikh92j/osgeo-prop-0001-JIRA_Extractor_r1.odt?dl=0

The new code will either be hosted at Atlassian (discussions in the
works for free hosting) or on a new OSGeo server.

Total cost is $800, we don't have a line item in our budget for it but I
think the board will approve it if we endorse, or it could come out of
our OSUOSL pot.

Please respond in the next 24 hours, as this is a time sensitive task.

Thanks,
Alex
SAC Chair

The Board seems very supportive of this migration and supportive of
SAC spending money. So far, this is the only proposed solution I've
seen.

I think that you have a fair amount of latitude in time sensitive
tasks as the Chair of SAC.

To me this sounds like a reasonable use of the money:

OSGeo Board,

The System Administration Committee would like to request approval for a
previously unbudgeted $800 to pay for the migration of Geoserver and
Geotools from the closing Codehaus.

The solution we have picked is to contract Harrison Grundy (Astrodog
Inc.) to scrape an export from CodeHaus that we can import into another
JIRA instance (likely hosted by Atlassian).

We're on a tight time window here, so I'm willing to pull from one of
the other SAC line items in the budget on this for now but don't want to
cause headaches for the book keepers.
