[SAC] FW: [Mapguide_users] MapGuide OSGEO Certificate Errors in IE

Looks like the osgeo wildcard SSL cert is a self-generated one. Did we not get the cert from CN?

The “Download” link in the first news item links to a HTTPS:\ page where you get certificate errors in the new Internet Explorer. The new IE won’t even show the page unless you click something that is not recommended.

Just letting you guys know.

We did get the cert but not sure what has been done with it.

The cert is installed on the server but, isn't working properly. Not
sure exact reason. This is on my priority list to figure out.

For much content, we simply removed references to https urls. Shouldn’t the MapGuide links just be updated by removing the https prefix from the links.

The new site(s) doesn’t specifically require SSL at this point - is it something that should be considered for certain tasks?
