[SAC] FWD: Trac (Mantis) to GitLab converter by Kitware/CMake

Hi,

Lately, I found that Kitware/CMake actually migrated to GitLab.
Kitware used to use Mantis and they developed converter of
Mantis tickets (CSV export) to GitLab issues:

https://gitlab.kitware.com/utils/mantis-to-gitlab

It seems the converter is not specific enough, so there are
more happy users of it who switched to GitLab:
http://www.cortana.at/blog/?p=39

I thought this may be handy in case any projects would like to
feed OSGeo GitLab w/ Trac CSV export data.

Best regards,

There's an experimental GitLab deploy for OSGeo, in case you want to
try such a migration: https://git.osgeo.org/gitlab

I also wrote a migrator from Trac to Gogs [1], and gave it a quick try
with GEOS [2], so if you want to do GEOS to GitLab we could compare
the outcome.

That would be a good idea.
If I find a slot available, I will try it.

Meanwhile, how can I obtain CSV export of the latest issues from Trac?

I've no idea, but if you find out drop instructions in a trac ticket.
Or I can give you a database dump (still file a trac ticket for that).

Apparently, Trac export to CSV is possible via the Trac Web UI:
https://help.cloudforge.com/hc/en-us/articles/215243223-How-to-export-from-Trac-tickets-into-TeamForge

However, I'd prefer different way which might be possible.
I'll run some experiments if time permits and come back with update.
