Hi,
earlier html codes worked in the mailing list description text*
(general prefs), and the help there indicates that it should still
do so. But now if you edit that field the control characters get
sanitized into <a href="e;...."e;> and the html
doesn't get parsed**. Each subsequent change to any of the general
prefs means < becomes &lt; -> &amp;lt; ->
&amp;amp;lt; -> ... it gets ugly fast.
any ideas for a fix? regression in the new version of mailman?

I encountered the same problem and the only way I found to get around it
was to update the description field using mailman command level commands.
I think I dumped the stuff to some sort of text file, edited that and
reapplied it.
