[SAC] html in mailing list descriptions

Hi,

earlier html codes worked in the mailing list description text*
(general prefs), and the help there indicates that it should still
do so. But now if you edit that field the control characters get
sanitized into <a href=&quote;....&quote;> and the html
doesn't get parsed**. Each subsequent change to any of the general
prefs means < becomes < -> < ->
< -> ... it gets ugly fast.

any ideas for a fix? regression in the new version of mailman?

(see "About" at top:)

thanks,
Hamish

Hamish,

I encountered the same problem and the only way I found to get around it
was to update the description field using mailman command level commands.
I think I dumped the stuff to some sort of text file, edited that and
reapplied it.

Best regards,
