[SAC] Issues with Nabble forums

Dear OSGeo Nabble Admin,
it seems that some days ago something bad happened in the QGIS and probably other OSGeo forums on Nabble.

It seems now that:

  1. the forums don’t retrieve and store anymore the incoming messages from the associated mailing lists

  2. the messages posted in the forums, by users subscribed also to the mailing list, are not forwarder anymore to the associated mailing list

  3. the text of a lot of messages which was previously available in the forums result unavailable and replaced with “CONTENTS DELETED The author has deleted this message.”
See, for example, http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/QGIS-Developer-no-collections-displayed-in-wfs3-td5488872.html or http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/QGIS-Developer-It-s-time-to-contribute-to-the-Changelog-for-QGIS-3-20-td5488144.html
This is also very bad because now it is impossible to make a text search among the messages already post, reducing dramatically the knowledge accumulated over the years in the mailing lists.

Are you aware of these issues? Is there something we can do in order to restore the broken functionalities and the messages not yet available?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards.

Andrea Giudiceandrea

There is not too much we can do here since we provide a mailing list and not a forum.

Nabble is an external service that harvests our mail archives (example https://lists.osgeo.org/pipermail/qgis-user/ ) and presents the result to their community as a forum.

There are competing services such as https://www.mail-archive.com/qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org/ that may be of interest if nabble is having trouble this week.
