All, the OSGeo marketing committee is looking for a SAC member to temporarily join them while they contract out an OSGeo website rebranding/rebuilding effort.
Main role would be to answer technical questions about hosting, vet technology choices in candidate proposals (ie Make sure it's something SAC can host). Volunteer need not be a developer, someone with general sys admin or web power user would work, as you can ask SAC questions when you're not sure.
Sandro has said he could do it if no one else is available. I appreciate the offer, but would like to see if someone else wants to pitch in since Sandro has a big load already.
Step 1 volunteer, by replying to this email
Step 2 join the marketing committee email list, and announce yourself
Any takers? If more than 1 person wants to do it, go for it.
While not exactly a member of SAC, I'd be happy to help out on this to take load off of Sandro, he already does a ton!
If that works for SAC, let me know and I'll post a note to marketing.

1. If you're open to joining SAC officially, I'm happy to nominate (not
that we have a formal process).
2. Given 1, yes, please go ahead and join the Marketing committee as our
representative. When in doubt, or for verification of opinions, come
back and ask the full SAC. Basically don't commit to anything on our
behalf without asking.
