[SAC] New SSL Cert - Vote

After looking at some options. The following choice seems reasonable
https://www.ssl.com/buy-ssl-wildcard-certificate/

The only other provider in this price range seems to be GoDaddy, all
other competitors are $400+ per year.

3 years for a total of $744.51 for osgeo.org and all *.osgeo.org subdomains.

This gives us time to work on more critical matters, but revisit the SSL
cert discussion sooner rather than later.

Please vote, or state any objections (to use of this vendor).

Thanks,
Alex

I don’t know if it suits your needs completely, here is another option:

https://letsencrypt.org/
Free and open.
No wildcard, automated instead.

We've already discussed it extensively. Please see the previous tickets
and threads. It remains an option for the future but does not meet our
immediate need this week. The plan is to buy a new cert, and then begin
testing letsencrypt on various other osgeo hosted domains like foss4g.org

Thanks,
Alex

Sorry for the noise then.
I admit I do not read all threads and I would not be able to find the
relevant tickets, so I missed the extensive discussions.

My apologies,
Benoît
